Solomeo is a village in the municipality of Corciano, near Perugia, along the Caina stream. This picturesque village, nestled in the green hills of Umbria, has recently returned to its original splendor.
And, during the last ten days of July, it goes back in time. Hundreds of torches light up the castle walls, which become the setting of one of Umbria’s most characteristic events. Minstrels, jugglers, and jesters will be waiting for you, as will innkeepers and tavern owners, who will make you taste typical umbrian dishes.
A town festival that takes place every year since 1979 with games, dances, songs, and all the typical local forms of art for a wonderful journey through time.
